Environmental Policy

Bo-Group, considering respect to people and environment as the major principle of the company’s production process, fulfills all fundamental requirements, and, accepts the principle of not polluting, instead of cleaning.

In order to minimize the harmful effects of the production process to the environment, our company acts sensitive about the issue, harbours its own waste treatment facility, which is also bringing economization along.

- Decreasing the amount of scrap and waste
First, any kind of scrap and waste are controlled to determine their situation for “reusability in the company”; after separation, these are sold to manufacturers of recycled products and scrap dealers.
For our liquid waste, we have a sewage treatment plant bearing a license for disposal. The Municipality periodically inspects this facility, and our company performs its routine controls.

- Following up the evaluation of waste and scrap
The records of the amount of waste and scrap processed and annihilated by a private company are kept regularly.

- Minimizing the amount of water and energy usage
Our projects, which will allow us to use less water and energy, are being updated according to the results of evaluation of our processes. In order to see the results of related studies and the rates of waste obtained during the manufacturing process, all data is recorded and reported daily, monthly and yearly.

- Decreasing the amount of Natural Gas usage
Maintenance of the boilers and studies for increasing their productivity are done and repeated periodically; and, natural gas consumption is recorded and reported daily, monthly and yearly.

Liquid Waste
For conformity to Water Pollution and Control Regulations, the Municipal authorities inspect parameters for sewage disposed by our licensed facility. These inspections are performed on uninformed dates and negative results may cause our license to be cancelled, therefore maintaining our Treatment Plant running is very important and also a legally binding matter for our company.

The parameters regularly controlled for disposed sewage are pH level and temperature. Related values are recorded on daily basis. Municipal authorities measure all other values, and, unless these values exceed the levels determined by Water Pollution and Control Regulations, they will not be presented to the company. [The values on Table 10.2, 10.3, 10.5 and 10.7 of SKKY (WPCR) are applied to our disposal facilities.]
